SheTech Explorer Day has come again! Taking place February 24,2026 in Sandy, Utah, Explorer Day will be hosted by the Women Tech Council at the Mountain America Expo Center. As the 13th annual event, Explorer Day continues to be the largest industry-led STEM career-inspiring event of the year for high school students in Utah for one powerful day of access and exploration.
The event will be filled with numerous opportunities for the 3,500+ girls from 150+ high schools in Utah:
- Participate in hands-on, mentor-led workshops
- Meet 1,000+ mentors, women, and men in real tech careers
- Engage with 150+ companies shaping Utah’s tech economy
- Connect directly with colleges and universities
- Discover how their interests translate into real STEM pathways

Each year, the special event invites female students grades 9-12 to come and engage with programs in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Throughout the day, students will participate in different workshops of their own choosing which includes areas such as aerospace, biomedicine, robotics, gaming, and digital marketing.
The agenda for the event goes as follows:
8:00 - 9:00 Bus Arrival, Check-in & Activities in the main hall
9:00 -11:30 Kickoff, Workshops, and TechZone rotations
11:30 - 12:00 Lunch
12:00 - 1:15 Lunch
12:00 - 1:15 TechChallenge and Prizes
This is an event that participants will not want to miss. It has aided numerous girls in their future career paths and led to major breakthroughs. Since its initial launch, the SheTech program has generated a $250 million economic impact by alumni earning STEM degrees and entering the workforce. They have also contributed massive growth in the following areas:
- 40,000+ girls activated through SheTech programs statewide
- 10,000+ industry mentors and role models engaged
- 2,000 educators connected and participating
- 1,000+ student leaders developed through Student Leadership Boards
- 100% of Utah school districts participating
- 100% of Utah counties represented
- 500+ tech companies and ecosystem partners engaged annually
- 500+ internships launched through SheTech and partner programs
- 100+ scholarships awarded to remove barriers and fuel post-secondary pathways
It paves the way for upcoming professionals and exposes the girls to real experiences which leads to community and industry impact.

Additionally, the event will be featuring the Women Tech Council SheTech Internship participants. SheTech internships activate, engage, and inspire girls at the moment when their future choices begin to take shape. As the first step in WTC’s talent pipeline, SheTech connects students to hands-on experiences, industry mentors, education pathways, and real-world opportunities that help them grow from curiosity to confidence as they see where they belong in AI, technology, aerospace, energy, and innovation.
