The conversation around AI is shifting from what's possible to what's proven. On March 31, 2026, the Silicon Slopes AI Summit will bring together leaders from NVIDIA, Google, and Databricks, alongside Utah's universities and builders, at the Zions Bancorporation Technology Center to share what's actually working in AI today.
Hosted by the Silicon Slopes AI Chapter and free to attend, the summit expects over 500 attendees and will showcase the latest advancements in AI, featuring experts exploring how the technology is transforming industries from business and research to innovation.
A Speaker Lineup Bridging Global Expertise and Local Innovation
The keynote will be delivered by Craig Clawson, former head of the Deep Learning Institute at NVIDIA and an executive at Duke University. His presentation, "What AI Can't Teach You: Lessons in Learning, Leadership, and Surviving the AI Shift," explores the human skills that matter most in an increasingly AI-driven world.

Derek Egan and Aaron Davis of Google will take the stage together to discuss how AI agents are changing the way work gets done, with a focus on how large-scale organizations are using these tools in real, practical ways.
Antoine Amend brings experience from Databricks and Barclays to share how AI is actively transforming financial services — offering a grounded, real-world look at where it's delivering value across the industry.
The summit also highlights Utah's academic strength in AI. Berton Earnshaw from the University of Utah and Emily Evans from Brigham Young University will join a panel moderated by Rebecca Brockbank of Utah State University, exploring how academia and industry are collaborating to develop talent, accelerate research, and turn AI innovation into real-world impact.
From Strategy to Application: Breakouts That Go Beyond the Hype
Breakout sessions for both business and technical audiences move beyond strategy into real-world application. Business tracks cover how companies are successfully adopting AI, what sets high-performing teams apart, and how to build AI-first cultures. Technical sessions showcase AI in action, including emerging approaches and use cases like AI agents operating as digital analysts.
As Silicon Slopes Vice Chair and Model Forge AI Founder Michael Mallin put it: "The conversation around AI has shifted from what's possible to what's actually working. This summit is about bringing together the people who are building real systems, solving real problems, and turning AI from research into reality."
Whether you're building AI solutions, leading teams, or exploring how AI will impact your work, the Silicon Slopes AI Summit is a rare opportunity to learn directly from those shaping what's next.
