Provo, Utah — March 26, 2026

CurrentClient, a communication platform built for financial advisors, has raised a $1.25 million seed round led by Thicket Ventures, a New York-based firm focused on wealthtech and fintech infrastructure.

As part of the investment, Justin Wisz, Founder of Thicket Ventures (Jackson Hole, WY), has joined CurrentClient’s board of directors.

The funding comes at a moment when compliance pressures are reshaping how financial advisors interact with clients. Since 2021, regulators have levied more than $2.7 billion in fines tied to off-channel communications, creating urgency for firms to adopt compliant communication tools.

CurrentClient is positioning itself as a solution to that problem.

Dustin Belliston, Founder and CEO of CurrentClient

“This investment allows us to significantly support our growth as we seek to improve the way advisors communicate in real time with modern clients,” said Dustin Belliston, Founder and CEO of CurrentClient.

Belliston shared in a LinkedIn post, “We’re excited about the opportunity this creates for both our company and the advisors we serve.”

Building Infrastructure for a Regulated Industry

Unlike generic messaging platforms, CurrentClient is designed specifically for registered investment advisors (RIAs) and financial planners operating in highly regulated environments.

The platform combines voice, messaging, and compliance into a single system, with features including visual voicemail, AI-powered call summaries, transcription, and a unified messaging interface known as Ghost. It also supports mass texting, video messaging, automated scheduling, and internal collaboration tools.

A key differentiator is its bidirectional integration with Wealthbox CRM, which automatically syncs client data and logs communication activity directly into advisor records—helping firms maintain compliance while reducing manual work.

Justin Wisz said the company fits squarely within Thicket Ventures’ investment thesis.

“CurrentClient is building the communication infrastructure that solves a difficult and costly problem for thousands of financial advisors,” he said. “We’re excited to help accelerate that mission.”

Founder With Deep Infrastructure Experience

Belliston brings a technical background that informs the product’s architecture. Before founding CurrentClient, he worked as a cloud engineer and built data pipelines at AWS-focused firms, with earlier experience at Fidelity Investments and Capital One.

That combination—financial services exposure plus infrastructure expertise—has shaped the company’s focus on reliability, compliance, and integration.

Scaling Go-to-Market

Alongside the funding, CurrentClient hired New York-based Austin Guest as Head of Sales. Guest previously led sales at FINNY and has experience scaling go-to-market teams across advisor-focused SaaS platforms, including RIAs, broker-dealers, and enterprise wealth firms.

"I decided to join CurrentClient, after hearing the glowing reviews of their current advisor base," Guest shared with TechBuzz. "As HOS, I plan to increase distribution and adoption amongst the RIA segment, and to break into the BD market. The BD market in particular has been looking for a better solution for quite some time, and I know we can provide that."

“Austin’s experience in the financial advisor space is precisely what we need as we take CurrentClient to the next level,” said CurrentClient's CEO, Dustin Belliston.

A Growing Category

Thicket Ventures, founded in 2018, has increasingly focused on backing companies that form the underlying infrastructure of wealth management. Wisz has developed a track record of leading early-stage rounds and taking active board roles, including a recent investment in an AI-native private markets platform.

That focus aligns with a broader trend: as regulatory scrutiny increases, communication itself is becoming core infrastructure—not just a feature.

CurrentClient, founded in 2022 and headquartered in Provo, is betting that advisors will continue shifting toward purpose-built tools that combine compliance, communication, and client experience in a single system.
