Eclipse Glasses USA has announced a partnership with Children's Community School in Van Nuys, California, to provide safe, ISO-certified eyeware for students, their families, and faculty members for viewing the highly anticipated October 2023 annular eclipse.

Committed to promoting safe eclipse observations, Eclipse Glasses USA, based in Provo, Utah, and 100% bootstrapped, has completed a transaction involving specially-priced eclipse glasses to Children's Community School. This collaboration aims to enable students and educators at the school to witness the eclipse event without any compromise on their vision protection.

An annular eclipse occurs when the Moon passes between the Earth and the Sun, creating a stunning "ring of fire" effect. The October 14, 2023 annular eclipse promises to be an extraordinary astronomical spectacle, and Children's Community School recognizes the educational value of this relatively rare event. By partnering with Eclipse Glasses USA, the school ensures that its students can experience this natural wonder safely and without any concern for eye damage.

"We are thrilled to support Children's Community School in their mission to provide a hands-on and enriching educational experience to their students," said Roger Sarkis, owner of Eclipse Glasses USA and earth sciences adjunct faculty at Utah Valley University.

"As experts in eye protection and science education for eclipses, we understand the significance of allowing young minds to witness these astronomical occurrences safely. Our ISO-certified eclipse glasses offer the highest standard of eye safety, providing peace of mind to parents, educators, and students alike."

Sarkis shared this additional comment with TechBuzz, "Apart from offering one-of-a-kind unique designs, our emphasis is on the eclipse education experience. Because eclipses are so rare, we really want educators to emphasize the science that can be learned from direct observation of such a phenomenon. We kept that in mind when designing our glasses."

The partnership between Eclipse Glasses USA and Children's Community School exemplifies the dedication both organizations have towards fostering a passion for science and learning among the next generation. The collaboration also underscores the shared vision of ensuring that students can participate in awe-inspiring celestial events responsibly and with proper safeguards.

Sarkis told TechBuzz that his company's eclipse glasses school pricing, including special Title 1 pricing, "is the best on the market, as far as I know."

"We are extremely grateful to Eclipse Glasses USA for their generous contribution of their wonderful product to our students and staff," said Azizi Williams, Head of School at Children's Community School.

Williams continued, "Our educational philosophy is centered around hands-on learning and inquiry, making the upcoming annular eclipse a unique educational opportunity. The safety of our students is our top priority, so with the donation of these ISO-certified eclipse glasses, we can now confidently immerse our students in this extraordinary celestial phenomenon."

Eclipse Glasses USA encourages everyone to enjoy the October 2023 annular eclipse responsibly by using ISO-certified eclipse glasses. These glasses offer the highest level of protection against harmful solar radiation and ensure that viewers can appreciate the stunning beauty of the annular eclipse safely.

Incidentally, Utah happens to fall squarely within the path of the 2023 annual eclipse which will viewable in the mid-morning of October 14 across the entire state. However, optimal viewing is available only across a slanted swath of the state between Ephraim and Parawan, moving towards the south-east corner of the state. Ideal viewing locations include many of Utah's iconic parks, such as Capital Reef National Park, Bryce Canyon National Park, and Canyonlands National Park, that will experience the full eclipse. Other popular landscapes including Lake Powell, Bears Ears National Monument, Hovenweep National Monument, Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument, and Monument Valley, among others, present optimal viewing locations to those wanting to view the October annual eclipse at full coverage.

For several hours, and cloud-cover permitting, viewers can observe the sun as it is slowly covered by the traveling moon. The view of the eclipse will reach its dramatic 4-minute window of greatest eclipse starting at 10:27 Mountain Standard Time on Saturday, October 14 for many locations in south-central Utah. Unlike the August 2017 total eclipse, the October 2023 annual eclipse will feature a sun that is not completely blocked by the moon because of a slightly longer distance between the earth and the moon. In an annual eclipse, a "Ring of Fire" effect appears around the moon. While not as dramatic as a total eclipse, the annular eclipse is still an unforgettable celestial wonder for properly-equipped viewers.
