Salt Lake City, Utah — February 2, 2026

OneMeta will provide near-instantaneous multilingual translation services at this week's Silicon Slopes SUMMIT, marking the first time such services have been offered at a Silicon Slopes SUMMIT.
Held February 4–7 at Salt Lake City’s Salt Palace Convention Center and other downtown venues, SUMMIT has drawn as many as 24,000 attendees and is one of the largest technology conferences in the country.
During SUMMIT 2026, OneMeta will deploy VerbumOnSite™, its AI-powered, real-time transcription and translation platform designed for live, in-person events. By scanning a QR code displayed in session rooms, SUMMIT attendees will instantly access live captions and translations directly in a mobile browser, with spoken content delivered in roughly ~200 milliseconds (about 1/8th of a second), enabling near-real-time comprehension as presenters speak.
VerbumOnSite will support real-time translation at SUMMIT in Utah’s five most commonly used languages after English—Spanish, Portuguese, Mandarin Chinese, German, and Tongan—as well as Ukrainian.
“Large tech conferences must be accessible to everyone,” said Saúl Leal, OneMeta’s Founder and CEO. “With VerbumOnSite, Silicon Slopes will deliver real-time multilingual access instantly, at scale, and without friction in a live conference environment.”

Leal describes OneMeta’s underlying technology as a new class of real-time understanding infrastructure:
“We have our own patents on transmission protocols… as I’m pronouncing the words, everything gets translated as I’m speaking. That’s where it’s very innovative, and very fast,” Leal shared with TechBuzz.
According to Leal, OneMeta’s Verbum platform can provide simultaneous translation and captioning in up to 150+ languages and dialects, with internal benchmarks showing 92–95% accuracy—higher than typical human interpretation and common consumer translation tools.
“The human interpretation industry in the United States is about a $10 billion market,” Leal explained. “Human interpretation is roughly 84–86% accurate, Google is around 85–87%, and we are seeing 92–95% with our approach.”
This accuracy, combined with sub-second latency, allows large events like SUMMIT to serve global audiences more effectively—without the hardware, headsets, or logistics traditionally required for live interpretation.
OneMeta’s technology is already used in high-stakes environments—including universities, global events, and major institutions—to enable real-time translation in as many as 180 languages, supporting participants wherever they are and whatever language they speak. By simply joining a session via link or QR code, attendees choose their preferred language and see or hear content in real time, transforming how cross-language communication happens at scale.
Leal sees this as part of a broader mission:
“The mission of the company is simple: we create a more understanding world. Our products don’t just focus on languages; they focus on understanding.”
He continued:
“In a world where connections have become a commodity, the last frontier has become understanding.”
“This is a SUMMIT milestone,” said Tiffany Vail, COO of Silicon Slopes. “The Silicon Slopes community has grown in size and global reach, making accessibility essential. Partnering with OneMeta makes SUMMIT more inclusive while setting a new standard for live events in Utah and beyond.”

This year also marks the 10th anniversary of Silicon Slopes SUMMIT. Past SUMMIT keynote speakers have included Apple CEO Tim Cook and Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg. This year’s event will feature Mark Cuban—entrepreneur, investor, longtime owner of the Dallas Mavericks, and star of Shark Tank—as a headline speaker.
Mark Cuban's Cost Plus Drug Company will be featured at SUMMIT. Cuban built the company to make prescription medications more affordable by cutting out middlemen and bringing radical transparency to drug pricing.
