Salt Lake City, UT — July 22, 2025

Ordr, the payment tech company that recently moved to Salt Lake City, has tapped veteran media executive Chris Gargano as its new Chief Marketing Officer. Known for his innovative work in content, branding, and fan engagement, Gargano joins the leadership team at a pivotal time as Ordr sharpens its focus on storytelling and next-generation fan experiences.

The appointment comes as Co-Founder Jade Chiles shifts from his role as CMO to Chief Strategy Officer. Chiles, who helped shape Ordr’s early vision and go-to-market presence, will now lead the company’s long-term strategy, partnerships, and product innovation.

Gargano brings more than two decades of experience in professional sports media. Most recently, he spent seven seasons as Vice President and Executive Producer for the New York Jets, where he led content, video production, social media, and editorial—driving a surge in audience engagement and earning multiple industry awards.

Before the Jets, he spent eight seasons elevating the San Francisco Giants’ media and entertainment efforts and earlier served six years as Director of Broadcasting for the Oakland Raiders.

Throughout his career, Gargano and his teams have earned multiple regional Emmy Awards, a testament to his ability to blend creativity, leadership, and a deep understanding of the sports audience.

“Chris’s visionary leadership, passion for storytelling, and deep commitment to connecting with fans make him an ideal fit for Ordr,” said Ryan Bott, CEO of Ordr. “We’re thrilled to have him join our team as we continue to grow. We’re equally excited to see Jade step into the Chief Strategy Officer role, where his innovative thinking and strategic expertise will continue to drive Ordr forward.”

In addition to his media career, Gargano is a longtime advocate for leadership development. He’s been an adjunct professor at NYU since 2018, teaching courses on leadership and sports management, and in 2023, he launched The Gargano Leadership Group to mentor and inspire emerging leaders.

“For me, it always comes down to the people,” said Gargano. “What stood out immediately about the Ordr team was their passion and purpose. They bring real energy and commitment to helping sports organizations elevate the fan experience through smart, innovative technology. That’s a mission I’m proud to get behind.”

Gargano holds a bachelor’s degree in Communications and a master’s degree in Leadership Studies from St. Mary’s College of California.

As CMO, he’ll lead Ordr’s brand, marketing, and communications efforts as the company looks to deepen its impact on the gameday experience—where payments, storytelling, and fan connection are converging.

Ryan Bott, CEO, Ordr

This latest executive move builds on momentum from the December 2024 appointment of CEO Ryan Bott, a SaaS and revenue operations veteran known for scaling global platforms. Under Bott’s leadership, Ordr has relocated its headquarters from Edmonton, Alberta to Salt Lake City, accelerated customer acquisition, and landed marquee partnerships with the Pittsburgh Penguins and Vegas Golden Knights.

Today, Ordr is rolling out AI‑powered payment analytics—complete with live dashboards, fan profiling, and sponsorship optimization—without disrupting existing venue systems. Recent deployments with the Chicago Sky further underscore its traction. With Bott’s U.S. expansion drive, Chiles’ product vision, and Gargano’s storytelling prowess, Ordr is uniquely positioned to connect high-tech data with high-touch fan experiences.
