Provo, Utah - May 14, 2025

Reflect, the Provo-based startup known for its innovative digital journaling platform, has officially rebranded as Noodle Journal. Founded in January 2025 by BYU students and Sandbox participants Abraham Lamoreaux, Lucas Gandola, and Spencer Hodson, the company has seen significant growth, doubling its user base and quadrupling total journal entries since its initial launch announcement in TechBuzz.

The rebrand to noodle is a nod to the founders' college days, where ramen noodles were a staple. "As college students fueled by ramen, we wanted a name that reflects our love for what we’re building," said the team. "You can now find us at www.noodlejournal.com. Your journal entries are safe, and everything will look and work just like before."

Noodle offers a simple approach to journaling: users record entries through scheduled phone calls, which are transcribed and saved as both audio and text. By using the phone—a tool always at hand—noodle makes it easy to capture thoughts on the go, at home, or during life’s in-between moments.

The company has also introduced new features, including image support, and has plans for further enhancements. Operating out of an unfinished basement office, noodle has grown largely through word of mouth and social media, with a focus on helping users preserve their memories effortlessly.

"Our mission is simple: Everyone has a story worth telling," said Lamoreaux. "We want to help people live authentically and document their lives meaningfully."
