Salt Lake Crossing (SLX) has announced it is opening a new coworking space in downtown Salt Lake City at 470 West 200 North, a block west of West High School. It will offer 300 housing units and a coworking space to downtown SLC with many amenities catering to young, fitness-oriented, tech-enabled renters, and especially digital nomads.

Its novel co-living approach provides moves away from the dorm-life stereotype of co-living, providing stylish and high quality in-person connection in tandem with a small footprint private apartment.

Salt Lake Crossing is a collaboration involving Salt DEV and Aurum Property Management, led by Austin Vegh, 31, who has a background in luxury hospitality and developments. A few years ago, Vegh noticed that studios were leasing more quickly than other apartments at 4th West and Hardware, where he worked. Tapping into his knowledge that younger renters value a smaller footprint and experience over things, he conceived of this new take on co-living.

"Salt Lake Crossing is purpose-built for the city's tech and entrepreneurial community," said Vegh. "We are creating an environment where residents feel valued and supported in a lifestyle with unparalleled curated events and services."

Salt Lake Crossing is designed to be a haven and incubator for entrepreneurs, with its coworking space and community feel. They also work with Utah-based startups such as Foam Laundry and Ethos Coffee to pilot their services to residents, and have a partnership with the Marketing Club at the University of Utah.

In addition to coworking facilities, Salt Lake Crossing will offer amenities such a rooftop clubhouse and lounge, private dog park and dog wash, onsite car wash, double gourmet kitchens, bike and ski storage, door-to-door laundry and dry cleaning service, and a 5,000 square foot fitness center that it intends to allow access to non-resident members.

Salt Lake Crossing welcomes digital nomads. It has reserved a set of apartments for flexible, short-term leases to allow digital nomads to experience SLC at its best while not being encumbered by lengthy lease agreements.
