Salt Lake City, Utah, June 25, 2025
Silicon Slopes today announced the expansion and relaunch of Summit, its flagship global innovation event, taking place February 4–7, 2026, in downtown Salt Lake City. Presented in partnership with Visit Salt Lake, the new Summit aims to fuse tech, culture, and community into a citywide festival showcasing the innovations shaping Utah’s future.
Bringing together entrepreneurs, investors, civic leaders, and culture-makers, Summit will spotlight Utah’s strengths in technology, sports heritage, multimedia, and next-gen storytelling. The event will blend thought-provoking content with immersive experiences, celebrating the state’s growing role as a hub for innovation and creativity.

“Summit is an evolution—bigger, bolder, and more sophisticated,” said Clint Betts, CEO of Silicon Slopes. “We’re creating a citywide festival where tech meets culture and the future isn’t just imagined—it’s built. This unified brand will bring together visionaries, entrepreneurs, and change-makers in ways that spark real connection and impact.”
Programming will center around five core pillars: tech innovation, multimedia and storytelling, Utah’s sports legacy, culinary creativity, and arts and culture. Additional industry-specific tracks will explore how other sectors intersect with emerging technology. The event will include keynotes, workshops, panel discussions, networking sessions, performances, and celebrations—all designed to feel immersive, collaborative, and distinctly rooted in Salt Lake City.
Venues across the city—ranging from the Eccles Theater and Salt Palace Convention Center to rooftop bars, creative studios, and pop-up speakeasies—will form a walkable “festival village.” Each pillar will feature tailored programming while encouraging cross-disciplinary exchange.

“This partnership with Silicon Slopes aligns perfectly with our mission to drive economic impact and showcase Salt Lake’s hospitality, entrepreneurial spirit, and collaborative energy,” said Kaitlin Eskelson, CEO of Visit Salt Lake. “Summit will be a key driver of innovation and a powerful showcase for our $5.8 billion visitor economy.”
Notable features include Startup Alley and the Innovation Showcase, highlighting emerging Utah talent, as well as Summit Serves, a community-focused initiative aimed at mission-driven service. Tracks will cover tech trends, venture capital, business strategy, and innovation, with content curated for founders, students, and corporate leaders alike.

“As we look toward 2026, I’m proud to help shape a Summit that reflects Utah’s vision—one that invites everyone to the table,” said Tiffany Vail, COO of Silicon Slopes. “We’re building a cultural convening that empowers our community and accelerates bold ideas.”
Utah’s tech sector continues to surge, accounting for nearly 10% of the state’s GDP and generating over $30 billion in economic output. More than 67,000 tech professionals work in the Salt Lake metro area—34% above the national average—with growth of nearly 23% year over year. The state’s overall GDP passed $300 billion in 2024, with 4.6% annual growth, making it one of the fastest-growing economies in the U.S.
