The Picklr Brings Premium Courts to Utah’s Tech Corridor

Once a quirky pastime, pickleball has exploded across the Beehive State—and nowhere is the enthusiasm more concentrated than in the tech corridors of Utah and Salt Lake counties. Now, that fervor is getting a new home.
This Saturday, June 21, The Picklr will celebrate the grand opening of its newest—and largest—indoor pickleball facility in Utah County. Located just off the Lehi/Saratoga Springs border, the 40,000-square-foot complex features 13 regulation courts (including two championship-sized), high-end amenities, and even a state-of-the-art podcast studio.
"We've been blown away by the demand for indoor pickleball in Utah County—especially from the tech community here in Silicon Slopes," said Dave Norton who along with his wife Shannon, are the owners of The Picklr in Lehi.
"This facility is designed to be the pickleball home for Silicon Slopes and Utah County businesses, whether that's corporate tournaments, company leagues, or just giving employees a premium place to unwind after work. Shannon and I are excited to be part of Utah's pickleball boom and can't wait to welcome everyone this Saturday."
The event is free and open to the public from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with pro player demos, meet-and-greets, raffles, and guided facility tours.
The Picklr, headquartered in Kaysville, Utah, is no stranger to growth. With 47 open locations across the country and over 500 more in development, the company is leaning hard into the sport’s meteoric rise. This new facility, operated by franchise owners Dave and Shannon Norton, is one of the largest in The Picklr’s national network and brings year-round access to Utah County’s rapidly expanding player base.
The Sports & Fitness Industry Association (SFIA) has named pickleball the fastest‑growing sport in the U.S. for four consecutive years (2021–2024), citing a 51.8% increase in participation from 2022 to 2023 and a staggering 311% growth over the past three years. Utah is a national hotspot for the sport, where demand consistently outpaces available court space. The Picklr is capitalizing on that momentum, with over 500 clubs sold nationwide. The new Lehi location marks its eighth facility in Utah, with additional openings planned before the end of the year.
The new Lehi-Saratoga Springs facility has been built with both performance and comfort in mind. Think 40-foot-high ceilings with custom sound baffling, pro-grade lighting, full locker rooms, spacious player lounges, and a podcast studio used to record King of the Court (KOTC), The Picklr’s flagship show. There’s even private event space and a pro shop for gear and apparel. It will be open from 6:00am to midnight after June 21, 2025.
