Utah Valley BusinessQ Magazine announces the opening of nominations for the top 50 businesses in Utah Valley—the UV50—a recognition program for top 30 Fastest-Growing Companies, the top 10 Economic Engines and the top 10 Startups to watch in Utah Valley for 2024. Past UV50 awardees include Crumbl, Nu Skin, Savory Fund, Awardco, Qualtrics, and many more Utah Valley business giants.
BusinessQ invites Utah Valley companies, from startups to long-timers, to complete applications to be considered for the UV50 list. Applications are free. The honor for winners includes a write-up in the fall issue of Utah Valley BusinessQ Magazine, plus an award ceremony at the UV50 Gala, held at Thanksgiving Point on October 3, 2024.

The deadline to apply is July 22, 2024. Winners will be contacted in August.

Fastest-Growing Companies:
BusinessQ vets and ranks 30 powerhouses with lightning speed and the numbers to prove it. The UV50 Fastest-Growing Companies category is completely objective, using the Inc. 5000 equation for calculating a company’s three-year revenue growth (from 2020 to 2023). Companies must be headquartered in Utah Valley. If corporate headquarters are outside of the county, only the sales of its Utah Valley locations are eligible.

Economic Engines:
The Economic Engines category is selected by BusinessQ’s editorial board and is ranked based on a variety of factors, including annual revenue, number of employees, contributions to Utah County’s economy and community, as well as timely and momentous milestones.

Startups to Watch:
The Startups to Watch list is selected from a pool of applicants with less than four years of operating history (founded no earlier than 2020). The winners and rankings were determined by BusinessQ’s editorial board based on revenue, leadership teams, industry and overall potential.

Utah Valley Business Quarterly highlights and educates the community on Utah Valley entrepreneurs, long-time businesses and local trends. two goals are to highlight and to educate through a glossy medium. Jeanette Bennett founded Bennett Communications over 25 years ago, the publishing company that produces Utah Valley Magazine, Utah Valley BusinessQ, Utah Valley Parade of Homes and many more titles. Bennett earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in communications from BYU, and she was awarded an Honorary Doctorate in Business from UVU. In 2023, Bennett was inducted into the Silicon Slopes Hall of Fame. In 2018, she was named Top Woman Entrepreneur in Media during a luncheon in New York City along with Martha Stewart. She recently transitioned into a full-time position as Executive Managing Director and Market Leader for Colliers, while still functioning as the CEO and Founding Editor of Bennett Communications. Bennett is the mother of five, a cancer survivor, a former state senate candidate and a cheerleader for Utah.
