Angel Studios (Provo, UT) partners with 2521 Entertainment (Midland, TX) to acquire the DAVID franchise, expanding its values-driven storytelling portfolio with an animated feature and series debuting December 2025, inspired by the biblical story of courage and faith.

Angel Studios (NYSE: ANGX), the groundbreaking technology and media company powered by 1.5 million grassroots Angel Guild members, today announced a new partnership with Midland, Texas-based 2521 Entertainment to acquire the DAVID franchise from Slingshot USA.
DAVID — an animated feature film and television series inspired by the biblical story of the shepherd boy who defeated Goliath — will be released in theaters December 19, 2025. One of Angel’s most anticipated films to date, DAVID brings to life the timeless story of courage, faith, and leadership that continues to inspire generations.
The DAVID film and accompanying five-part television series were created by the same studio and director behind YOUNG DAVID, one of Angel’s highest-rated animated projects, achieving record Guild approval scores. Angel is also exploring additional episodes to expand the DAVID universe for television audiences worldwide.
