Ogden, Utah - May 2, 2025

Faye, the tech platform helping families offload the mental load of home life, has raised $2.5 million in pre-seed funding to make high-quality, human-centered support more accessible to modern households.

The round was led by Sarah Leary, Venture Partner at Unusual Ventures (Menlo Park, CA) and co-founder of Nextdoor, with participation from Courtney Leimkuhler, co-founder of Springbank (New York), and angel investors from Roblox, Square, DoorDash, and other industry-leading companies.

Founded in 2023 by Ogden, Utah-based Emily King and Kip Kaehler, Faye is pioneering a new category in consumer tech: peer-to-peer support for the invisible labor of daily life. Along with CEO King, Faye has two advisors based in Utah.

Through the Faye platform, households are matched with trained, local Family Advisors who help with complex, personal tasks like scheduling, event planning, home services, vendor coordination, and travel logistics — all of which demand trust, context, and nuance beyond the reach of AI alone.

“Technology should elevate human connection, not replace it,” said King, co-founder and CEO. “A chatbot might list summer camps, but it can’t vet them, relay sensitive information, or navigate a school’s portal. That’s where real humans make the difference.”

Unlike traditional task platforms, Faye’s Advisors are not anonymous offshore workers but local peers with professional experience and community familiarity. The platform uses AI tools as a force multiplier to help Advisors research providers, gather quotes, manage communications, and streamline decision-making. The goal is to save households time, reduce stress, and unlock earning potential for a highly capable but often overlooked workforce.

“Faye is bridging the gap between thoughtful technology and trusted local expertise,” said Sarah Leary. “AI can’t get it done alone — real-world tasks need real-world work.”

“This is the future of work,” added Courtney Leimkuhler. “Faye is building the infrastructure to make essential, behind-the-scenes labor visible, respected, and scalable.”

Faye has already completed more than 12,000 tasks for members and is active in 20 U.S. cities, including Salt Lake City, Boston, New York City, Washington DC, Charlotte, Atlanta, Memphis, Chicago, Dallas, Austin, Houston, Denver, Los Angeles, San Francisco, New Orleans, Portland, and Seattle.

Memberships start at $169 per month — roughly $6 per day — and give families access to a trusted Advisor who can manage ongoing tasks and household logistics. Whether booking travel, sourcing childcare, or coordinating repairs, Faye aims to deliver reliable, personalized support where trust and timing matter most.

With this new funding, the company plans to expand its Advisor network, accelerate product development, and grow its footprint in key markets.
