Provo, Utah - May 13, 2025

RevRoad Capital, the Utah-based early-stage venture fund that made headlines with its record-setting $61 million debut in 2023, has announced a rebrand: Stalwart Ventures. The name "Stalwart" embodies the firm's dedication to being a reliable and unwavering partner for founders, providing not just capital but also strategic guidance and operational support throughout their entrepreneurial journey.

David Mann, Executive Managing Partner and Co-Founder, Stalwart Ventures

“Stalwart Ventures is more than a name change — it’s a reaffirmation of the values that have defined us from the start,” said David Mann, Executive Managing Partner and co-founder. “Rigorous investment discipline, deep engagement with founders, and an unwavering commitment to long-term value creation. We want the world’s best founders to know we are steadfast, tenacious, and loyal partners — fully invested in their success at every stage.”

Co-founder Rachelle Morris added, “Stalwart Ventures is a nod to the future — what’s to come and what founders and investors can expect from our storied team: steadfast tenacity, strength, loyalty, experience, and rigorous attention to the success of founders throughout every stage of their entrepreneurial journey.”

Stalwart Ventures Founding Partner and Managing Director Rachelle Morris was just named to Utah Business: Women to Watch 2025. The former Goldman Sachs and J.P. Morgan executive ran a tight race for Salt Lake County Council (1.2M voters) in 2024. Morris played a key role in signing women LPs to the fund when it debuted in 2023.

The rebrand was introduced at the firm’s recent investor day. 30% of Stalwart’s limited partners are women — a figure well above the industry average. The firm also reported 2024 growth across every portfolio company, with several experiencing more than 100% year-over-year revenue growth in what was widely considered a difficult year for early-stage startups.

To fuel this momentum, Stalwart Ventures announced two major additions to its leadership:

  • Jeff Martin, Managing Director, is a serial entrepreneur and award-winning innovator who previously reported directly to Steve Jobs at Apple. His expertise in AI, mobile commerce, and multimedia design has led to leadership roles with the Smithsonian Astronomy Council, Harvard’s Center for Astrophysics, and the Albert Einstein Foundation.
“My career in Silicon Valley has been about spotting and scaling breakthrough ideas,” said Martin. “Stalwart’s operational rigor and mission to back transformative founders made it an ideal fit.”
  • James Prasad, the new Chief Financial Officer, is a former Red Hat executive and technologist known for helping startups scale toward IPO. His engineering and financial background provides the firm’s portfolio with early-stage operational excellence.
“I’m thrilled to join a team so deeply committed to founder success,” said Prasad. “I look forward to helping companies build not just great tech, but great financial systems from day one.”

“Our team now includes over 100 years of combined experience across companies like Apple, Amazon, Red Hat, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, and high-growth startups,” said Morris. “We have the skills inside our team to help founders build their startup from 0 to 1, and then scale to enterprise.”

The firm also expressed gratitude to its original partners, Bart Skalla, who recently retired, and Scott Petersen, currently on ecclesiastical mission service. “We are proud of the portfolio we’ve built, and the founders we have the privilege of scaling alongside,” Morris said. “To the stellar portfolio companies we work with — we’re in your corner.”
