Salt Lake City, Utah — November 28, 2025

The Miller family and employees of the Larry H. Miller Company hosted their annual Season of Service event earlier this week, serving 5,000 Thanksgiving meals and offering a wide range of on-site services to Utahns experiencing homelessness and food insecurity.

The event, now approaching its 30th year, filled the Salt Palace Convention Center with hundreds of volunteers, community partners, and local leaders. Guests received a full Thanksgiving dinner—turkey, ham, potatoes, gravy, stuffing, vegetables, rolls, and dessert—along with free access to medical, legal, vision, dental, mental-health, and other vital services.

“Thanksgiving is a moment to check in on one another and make sure people feel seen and supported,” said Steve Miller, Chairman of the Board. “A warm meal and simple acts of kindness go a long way, and this tradition continues to remind us of that.”

More than 20 organizations offered services ranging from records expungement and mental-health support to children’s activities and pet care. Volunteers from the Miller family, Larry H. Miller Company, Larry H. Miller Real Estate, Miller Sports + Entertainment, Larry H. Miller Senior Health, and other affiliated businesses staffed the effort.

“Service is woven into who we are,” said Steve Starks, CEO of the Larry H. Miller Company. “Watching thousands of people come together year after year reinforces how much good this community is capable of.”

Several state and local officials joined the effort, including Utah Congresswoman Celeste Maloy; Governor Spencer J. Cox and First Lady Abby Cox; State Representatives Tyler Clancy, Ariel Defay, and Steve Eliason; Salt Lake City Mayor Erin Mendenhall; South Jordan Mayor Dawn Ramsey; Salt Lake City Police Chief Brian Redd; and Salt Lake Community College President Greg Peterson.

Throughout November, the company also ran a clothing drive across its business platforms, collecting new and gently used winter clothing for distribution through the Salt Lake City Mission.

“Seeing people enjoy a holiday meal while getting connected to resources they truly need—that’s what this season is about,” said Pastor Shawn Clay, Director of the Salt Lake City Mission. “We’re grateful for everyone who shows up to make this event happen.”
