Expanding the Theatrical Slate

Angel continues to grow its slate with theatrical distribution agreements for projects approved by the Angel Guild. Key upcoming releases include SKETCH, TRUTH & TREASON, and I WAS A STRANGER.

Created by first-time writer-director Seth Worley, SKETCH follows a young girl whose enchanted sketchbook plunges into a mysterious pond, unleashing her wild drawings as chaotic, living monsters that rampage through her town. As mayhem engulfs their world, her fractured family must band together to recapture the creatures they unwittingly set free. Starring Tony Hale and D’Arcy Carden, and boasting a rare 97% Rotten Tomatoes critics score, Sketch launched on over 2,000 screens in the US and Canada on August 6, 2025. To date, its global box office amounts to $8.4 million.

Inspired by the real-life courage of teenage resistance fighter, Helmuth Hübener, TRUTH & TREASON follows a heroic 16-year-old from Hamburg Germany who forms a resistance group with his friends Karl and Rudi after witnessing the arrest of his Jewish friend, defying the Nazi regime's reign of terror. Produced by Kaleidoscope Pictures and curated by Angel—the film & TV platform powered by nearly one million members of the Angel Guild—the film will premiere in theaters worldwide on October 17, 2025.

Inspired by Brandt Andersen’s Oscar-shortlisted 23-minute film REFUGEE (2020), I WAS A STRANGER has screened at over 40 international film festivals, winning multiple audience awards and the Amnesty International Film Award at the 2024 Berlinale. Celebrated for its poignant storytelling and emotional depth, the film has cultivated a devoted following and critical acclaim on the global circuit, offering a deeply human lens on ordinary people ensnared by the chaos of war-torn nations.

These global partnerships will extend the theatrical runs of Angel films beyond their domestic debuts, including The King of Kings, Homestead, The Last Rodeo, and Bonhoeffer.

Angel Studios is a values-based distribution company for stories that amplify light to mainstream audiences. Through the Angel Guild, over 1.5 million paying members from more than 180 countries help decide which film and television projects the studio will market and distribute, while supporting filmmakers who create content that amplifies light.

D-SPAC Listing and Recent Stock Performance

Angel Studios completed its business combination with Southport Acquisition Corporation, a special purpose acquisition company (SPAC), on September 5, 2025, and began trading on the NYSE under the ticker ANGX on September 11, 2025, as reported by TechBuzz. The merger valued the combined entity at approximately $1.6 billion in pro-forma enterprise value. Southport is a blank check company formed in Delaware on April 13, 2021.

ANGX debuted with notable enthusiasm, closing up 8.4% on its first trading day, with after-hours trading showing an additional 13% gain. Earlier in the session, the stock surged over 50%, reflecting strong initial investor interest. However, the stock has since experienced significant volatility and a downward trend. Despite these challenges, Angel’s unique position in the entertainment industry, with its focus on amplifying light and a community-driven philosophy, continues to attract attention. The company’s ability to leverage its global partnerships and expand its rapidly growing Guild membership could drive future growth.
