Bluffdale, Utah — March 5, 2026

Vector, a modern defense-as-a-service company headquartered in Bluffdale, Utah, today unveiled the Hammer F1, a foldable quadcopter purpose-built to meet U.S. Department of War standards and the operational demands of America’s service members.

Designed by warfighters for warfighters, the Hammer F1 reflects operator input at every stage—from initial requirements to final configuration. Fully NDAA compliant, the system integrates advanced sensing and precision strike capability into a compact platform engineered to perform in the most challenging environments.

Optimized for day and nighttime missions, the Hammer F1 features modular camera configurations and native Android Tactical Assault Kit (ATAK) integration, allowing operators to stream live video and sensor data into the military’s shared situational awareness platform used to coordinate units, drones, and sensors in real time. Engineered for portability, it packs and deploys from a single bag, enabling warfighters to move at the speed the battlefield demands.

Capable of speeds up to 97 miles per hour and operational ranges of up to 25 kilometers, the Hammer F1 supports rapid deployment across dispersed and dynamic battlefields. By combining reconnaissance and kinetic capability in a single attritable platform, it reduces system burden while enhancing tactical flexibility at the edge.

The system’s modular architecture allows operators to reconfigure the Hammer F1 in real time. Interchangeable sensor packages, a fiber optic connector port, a universal payload interface, and an integrated Picatinny rail enable seamless integration of ISR tools, electronic warfare components, and precision strike payloads. This open-systems approach, shaped directly by operator feedback, allows units to field mission-specific configurations quickly and maintain pace with modern combat operations.

Andy Yakulis, CEO and Co-Founder, Vector

"Warfighters didn’t just inform this system; they built it with us,” said Andy Yakulis, CEO and Co-Founder of Vector. “As former operators ourselves, we understood exactly what they needed to win, and we engineered every inch of the Hammer F1 around those requirements. With a focus on American supply chains and expanded manufacturing capabilities at our Utah factory, Vector is ready to deliver the Hammer F1 at scale to our warfighters."

Manufactured to rigorous U.S. defense acquisition standards and tested for cyber resiliency in contested spectrum environments, the Hammer F1 is designed to operate effectively against electronic threats.

The Hammer F1 reflects Vector’s ongoing commitment to expanding American drone manufacturing and battlefield-ready unmanned capabilities. By embedding warfighter requirements, compliance, and supply chain integrity into the design process from day one, Vector has positioned the Hammer F1 for efficient transition through Department of War procurement pathways while meeting the uncompromising standards of frontline units.

Vector was founded by former special operations Tier 1 operators and defense technology experts who understand the realities of modern war-fighting. Drawing on deep field experience, the team recognized the rapid evolution of tactics and technology and set out to ensure the United States and its partners maintain a decisive edge in every operational environment. That experience drives Vector’s commitment to innovation and excellence.

Vector’s core focus is small unmanned aerial systems (sUAS), providing the U.S. military with superior situational awareness and operational effectiveness. Vector is arming US warfighters with adaptable, high-performance systems that integrate seamlessly and evolve as fast as technology itself. Its rapid development and deployment ensure partners are equipped with the most capable tools available—ready to meet today’s evolving threats and tomorrow’s challenges with confidence.

Domestically, Vector delivers advanced, integrated solutions engineered for the complex challenges of modern operations. Vector works hand in hand with warfighters to ensure those protecting our nation are postured to utilize cutting-edge defense capabilities in their mission.
