The Security Service Charitable Foundation has donated $17,500 to four non-profit organizations in Utah. These organizations help Utah communities, up and down the state, with a variety of worthwhile causes from providing major appliances to providing assistive technology such as hearing aids.

The Security Service Charitable Foundation’s donations went to the following non-profit organizations: Children’s Justice Center (26 locations throughout Utah, especially in rural areas), DOVE Center in St. George, Utah Schools for the Deaf and the Blind Education Foundation (locations in Salt Lake City, Ogden and Springville), and YCC Family Crisis Center in Ogden.

“The funding that the Security Service Charitable Foundation has awarded us is particularly valuable for DOVE Center because it allows us to purchase new, high-quality appliances that will serve the residents of the Safe House for many years to come,” said Trudy Despain, grants manager for DOVE Center. “DOVE Center will be able to leave a lasting impact in their lives because of the graciousness of organizations such as yours.”

DOVE Center empowers those impacted by domestic abuse and sexual violence by providing safe shelter and trauma-informed services to facilitate safety, healing, and assault recovery. Based in St. George, the DOVE Center is the only not-for-profit organization in Washington and Kane counties providing free safe shelter assistance for victims of sexual assault and domestic violence.

The Security Service Charitable Foundation helps further Security Service Federal Credit Union’s corporate goal of community service by contributing to deserving organizations and causes in the credit union's market areas.

The Security Service Charitable Foundation, founded in 2007, is the charity arm of San Antonio-based Security Service Federal Credit Union. It supports local communities in Texas, Colorado and Utah. It operates in 13 locations in Utah. SSCF contributes to deserving organizations and causes, such as the four Utah non-profits mentioned above, that benefit local communities and help to improve the quality of life for its citizens.
